Youth Service


  • Support for Children’s Therapy Centre, which provides speech, occupational therapy and physiotherapy to children.

  • The Irene Delaney Bursary at Mapleton Primary School, and bursaries at Nambour High School and Burnside State High School to assist certain students with the costs associated with attending school.

  •  Drug and Alcohol Awareness classes in Nambour High Schools.

  •  Support for the STEMM Program at Burnside State High School (Supporting Teenagers with Education, Mothering & Mentoring) which supports pregnant girls and young mothers in a safe, non-judgemental environment to develop life skills.

  •  Rotary Club of Nambour Teaching Fellowship, aimed at enhancing the standard of teaching at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

  •  Rotary and University of Sunshine Coast Community Fund to provide scholarships for outstanding post-graduate student research.

  • Rotary Youth Driver Awareness (RYDA) program. RYDA highlights the risks and hazards involved when young drivers first get their Learner’s and Provisional licences so they are better informed and equipped to make smart choices and drive more safely.

  • Hosted NZ Year 10 students under the Rotary Australia New Zealand Student Exchange program.

  • Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) provides personal development training for young people.
